Our programs give international students the opportunity to study alongside Canadian students in the province of British Columbia’s public education system. A BC graduation certificate is recognized internationally for its quality and is accepted by top universities around the world.
Richmond has 10 secondary schools with a combined enrolment of approximately 11,000. Each school in Richmond, without exception, offers students the opportunity to get a world-class education with B.C. certified teachers, international student coordinators, modern school facilities and an extensive range of course options.
The Richmond School District has 38 elementary schools throughout the city of Richmond with approximately 11,000 students. We accept international students into our elementary schools when space is available and when students are accompanied by a parent on a full time basis.
Students who wish to immerse themselves in Canadian culture but do not wish to commit to a full semester or year can take our Canadian School Experience Program. This program allows students to have an authentic school experience and develop English in a natural learning environment.
Our summer camps are a fun and engaging programs held in July and August for students of all ages.

RIE offers flexible and personalized Professional Learning Programs to international education professionals from around the world. Richmond is an academic leader in Canada and is widely recognized for its innovative ELL programming, range of academic offerings and curriculum development. RIE is available to share expertise in these areas with educators from around the world.
As a large and diverse district, Richmond can offer excellent options for groups who wish to have a program tailored to their specific needs and educational goals. Groups of 15 or more students can benefit from a wide range of school and course options, including ELL and other non-academic courses such as Physical Education, Computer Studies, Art and Music.
This program will focus on building English competency for academic success in Canada. Classes will focus on the specific skills and vocabulary used in academic settings in Canada, both at the secondary and post-secondary level.
